This Rosé blossoms with scented pomegranate, lifted floral and berry fruit characters. The palate dances with notes of pear and peach, with a crisp and refreshing finish.

Marlborough experienced high rainfall during the growing season, resulting in high moisture levels throughout the vineyard and nervousness heading into vintage. Thankfully, the weather remained stable which meant we could pick our fruit when desired and the concentration and health was outstanding. Hawke’s Bay had an incredibly challenging growing season, with cool conditions throughout summer, coupled with a destructive tropical cyclone in the middle of February. The weather settled in March, creating manageable conditions for getting fruit off the vines, and we were fortunate to get healthy, ripe fruit. This blend of fruit has resulted in a Rose with concentrated flavours, and underlying purity and minerality.

The parcels of fruit that created this Rosé were individually harvested at optimal ripeness. The fruit was destemmed, briefly soaked, and then gently pressed. The juice was cold settled for 48 hours then racked prior to a long cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks to capture bright, fresh fruit characters. Each parcel was fermented separately with a range of yeasts to build complexity and structure. Following fermentation, the wine was blended, stabilised and filtered prior to bottling.
