Description

Dry, Floral, Pear

"It's splendidly ripe and elegantly fragrant on the nose with rockmelon, Nashi pear, Gala apple, and white flower aromas, followed by a succulent palate offering fabulous fruit purity backed by refreshing acidity, making it instantly appealing. At its best: now to 2028" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Nov 2025

Scale_-_Dry

A cool climate Pinot Gris, dry in style showing sweet fruit flavours balanced with fresh acidity. Fragrant, lifted aromatics reveal orange blossom, ripe stonefruit and hints of nutmeg. The palate flows with notes of nashi pear and honeysuckle, offering a beautifully balanced interplay of fruit and spice.

Early season frosts called for vigilance in the region, however our blocks remained well protected. Predominantly warm, calm weather followed flowering, with low rainfall throughout the season. Harvest was settled with lovely warm afternoons delivering high quality fruit and excellent flavours.

Harvested from the Central Otago sub-regions of Peregrine Estate Bendigo 61% and Pisa 39%.

A combination of handpicked, machine harvest and whole bunch pressed. Long cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks to obtain complexity, and a medium-dry yet balanced sweetness.

Matured in tank and some older oak, and held on yeast lees for 5 months prior to blending and bottling.
