Description

Medium-bodied, the palate has a rounded but concentrated core of citrus fruits, white and yellow stonefruits, nutty oakand flint. Some creamy barrel-ferment and nuances of lemon-curd MLF add detail. The palate is fresh and lively with fine acidity and flows along a fine line, leading to an elegant, citrussy and nutty nuanced finish. The nose is moderately full and deep with aromas of white and yellow stonefruits entwined with citrus fruits, along with nutty oak and hints of flint and minerals.

Chardonnay fruit including clones 15, 95, 908, 548 and Mendoza from the ‘Om Santi’ and ‘Palliser/Clouston’ sites, barrel fermented, a quarter by indigenous yeasts to 13.2% alc., the wine aged 7 months on lees with one stirring in 22% new oak, most casks undergoing MLF
