On the nose lovely toasty notes of roasted walnut butter, a hint of dried rose petals and a touch of marzipan. To taste the wine has a subtle nutty mid palate with a creamy texture leading to a structured and textural finish.

Vintage 2023 was rather a mixed bag with warm weather leading into Christmas and the new year. Early February Hawkes Bay was then hit by a cyclone that dumped large amounts of rain on the area causing widespread flooding and devastation! Luckily the Pask vineyards are located on the Gimblett Gravels that are extremely fast draining and as such our vineyards dried out quickly and allowed us to carefully manage the following ripening period. Choosing when and how often to pick was the key, getting fruit clean with both sugar and physiological ripeness was key and we managed to select pick at the right times to ensure we had the best fruit we could from an extremely challenging vintage.
