Description

  • French oak
  • Subtle licorice
  • Floral notes
  • Supple tannins

Deep purple in colour, floral aromas with a touch of red licorice. The palate is medium weight with supple tannins and a savoury finish.

A challenging spring preceeded an extremely long warm Summer with January recording 3.5º C above average temperatures. February through to March was dryer than normal leading to optimal picking conditions late April. A favourable vintage has been well rewarded.

Harvested early April. Tank fermented with regular pumping over for colour, flavour and tannin extraction. Oak maturation with regular racking for clarification and freshening.
