Description
Chocolate, Oak, Raspberry
"It's nicely fruited and fragrant on the nose, with red cherry, dried herb, olive, and nutmeg aromas, followed by an elegantly weighted palate with smooth texture and fine tannins, finishing spicy and pleasingly dry. At its best: now to the end of 2026" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Apr 2026
"Aromas and flavours of a fruity and varietal wine, plum and cherry, vanilla and clove. On the palate a dry wine with core fruit flavours that mirror the bouquet and enhanced by fine fruit tannins. Medium+ acidity embellish the fruit flavours leading to a balanced and even finish. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2027" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
This wine is deep garnet in colour with toasty aromas of oak and freshly picked red fruits. The palate is bright and inspiring with fresh raspberry, cherry and toasted flavours. The palate has a unique cocoa powder mouthfeel which lingers on the finish.
The fruit for this fruity Pinot Noir was sourced from several specifically chosen vineyards that contribute to unique and bold flavours in the wine. Each parcel was monitored and tasted throughout the season until the berries had reached the desired flavour profile.
At the winery each parcel was cold soaked before fermentation, enhancing the colour and flavour extraction for the wine. The juice was fermented and hand plunged eight times a day during its peak. Once ready, each batch was racked into stainless steel tanks with French oak where it underwent a malolactic fermentation. The final wine was blended and prepared for bottling here in Marlborough.
Food Pairing: This Pinot Noir is a perfect match with black garlic roasted potatoes.
