1 x Escarpment Noir Martinborough Pinot Noir 2023

Bright garnet in colour the wine opens with spice and savoury characters, which are the hallmark of Martinborough Pinot Noir. This is an elegant expression with red fruit accents, reminiscent of fresh summer berries. There is also an autumnal feel to the wine, with turned earth, sumac and dark chocolate. The palate is taught and juicy, with forest floor and more of the savoury nuances coming through. It is crunchie and fresh, with a vibrancy and softness that is carried by silky tannin. This is a wine that is created with early drinking in mind but will reward with a few years in the cellar.

1 x Craggy Range Te Muna Single Vineyard Martinborough Pinot Noir 2025

Bright, deep scarlet in colour. Evocative floral aromatics of lavender and jasmine, with notes of sweet spice. Distinctly Te Muna, it is so elegant and poised. A very fine, ethereal palate. The silk laden tannins amalgamate with little resistance, giving incredible flow. A supremely elegant release.

A moderate spring led to a cooler ripening season defined by several large rain events. Picking and selection were critical.

Food Pairing: Spring lamb, grilled salmon, duck and mushroom risotto.

"Aromas and flavours of ripe plums and red cherry flesh, layers of soil, barrel and fruit spice add breadth and intrigue. Dark cherry, red berry and violet flavors, complemented by chocolate and supple spice. The fruit flavours are framed with velvet-like tannins and a core of juicy acidity. This wine is immediately enjoyable but will continue to drink well for the next eight years.

Earthy vibrant nose, subtle oak, reminiscent of smoked meat, with light florals and vibrant red and blue fruits. Dark cherry and red berry flavours with savoury mineral/graphite-like notes. Fine, supple, and poised with a well integrated tannin structure. Sustainable.
