This lively wine has aromas of fresh herbs, currants, passionfruit, gooseberry and limes. The zesty palate has ripe citrus and stone fruit flavours and a fresh dry mineral finish.

2025 was a fantastic growing season for Wairarapa, one of the best all round seasons in my experience. A dry spring with settled weather during flowering set up a good crop ,and after some much needed rain at Christmas, the season settled into a long cool dry ripening period, perfect for Sauvignon Blanc. We started harvesting clean ripe fruit in mid March and concluded in mid April with stunning weather throughout. Our spread of vineyards down the river valley provide a broad palette of classic Sauvignon flavours. These naturally low yielding vineyards, with moderate canopy growth always give concentrated fruit with ripe acidity.

In the winery the fruit is pressed and the juice clarified and cool fermented with a range of yeasts to express complexity of aroma and texture. We ferment our wines dry and allow them to rest on light lees to enhance mouthfeel and minerality until assembling the blend and preparing for bottling.
