"Attractively fruited and inviting, the bouquet shows ripe cherry, dark plum, olive and toasted spice aromas with subtle mushroom notes. It’s succulent and supple on the palate with elegant weight and fleshy texture, finishing lingering and smooth" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jan 2020
This Mystery Pinot Noir is a beautifully handcrafted wine with elegance, style and texture. Light floral notes of rose petal, plum and mocha highlights are backed by ripe strawberry, raspberry, black cherry and vanilla flavours. The palate is generous and inviting with dark bramble concentration balanced with restrained acidity and fine silky tannins. The finish is long and lingering with hints of savoury spice. May be cellared for up to 5 years from vintage.
Wairarapa is enjoying a growing reputation for production of outstanding Pinot Noir as more winemakers discover the potential of the unique soils and climate to produce low-yielding grapes with richly concentrated flavours.
Food Pairing: Enjoy with light game, contemporary red meats and pasta dishes.
