Wine Orbit

Description

  • French oak
  • Dark plum & cherry
  • Toasted nut
  • Silky texture

"Delightfully fruited and elegantly composed, the wine shows dark plum, cherry, anise and toasted nut characters on the nose with a hint of dark mushroom. It's succulent and plump on the palate, offering youthful fruit intensity combined with silky texture and well-integrated tannins, finishing long and supple. At its best: now to 2024" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Apr 2020

A perfectly balanced crop was harvested in excellent condition on 4 th April 2019. Fruit set from the 667 clone was down due to a poor flowering, which has resulted in outstanding quality, but smaller volume. Fruit was then hand plunged in open top fermenters, before being transferred to a mixture of small tank and seasoned French oak barrels.

Food Pairing: Enjoy it on its own or with red meat, duck or pheasant.
