Description

Dry, Passionfruit, Pineapple

Black Market Mystery Wines™ are simply wines we love, with the branding hidden and revealed only when it arrives at your door!

"It's fabulously expressed on the nose with passionfruit, pineapple, green apple and lime peel aromas. The palate is equally appealing with vibrant fruit flavours, together with fine texture and beautifully pitched acidity, making it highly enjoyable" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Sep 2024

"Bright, even, pale yellow. The nose is fresh, with aromas of green apple, lime, pineapple and cut herbs. Medium-light bodied, aromas of lime and grapefruit with a suggestion of pineapple melded with fresh herb and a touch of sea salt. The wine is crisp with a clean flow; zingy acidity carries zest spice and apple skin-like phenolics and lends a salivating finish" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, May 2025

"Bright and fragrant with a bouquet and palate of mango and passionfruit, grapefruit and basil. Crisp and just dry with a lick of residual sweetness for balance and mouthfeel. The acid line adds crunch and freshness highlighting a light mineral stone quality and a touch of lees for complexity and length. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2027" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier

The grapes were machine-harvested in the cool of the evening and swiftly transported to the winery, where they were immediately pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to preserve freshness and vibrant fruit flavours. This 2024 Sauvignon Blanc is fresh, and fruit driven with generous aromatics of ripe passionfruit and juicy grapefruit. The palate is fresh and full, with layers of gooseberry, black current with a citrus burst.

Fruit for this wine was sourced from well-producing vineyard sites across Marlborough, ensuring intensity and regional expression.

Food Pairing: This wine is dry, and fruit driven, pairing excellently with an array of dishes, including fresh seafood and light Thai cuisine. Cellar for 2-3 years or enjoy straight away.
