A fruit forward and elegant Chardonnay. This 2022 Marlborough Chardonnay is a classically varietal with layers of white peach, toasted oak, creamy nougat, and warm cinnamon spice. The structure is luscious and complex with a distinct chalky mid palate.
The grapes were this wine were sourced from the Marlborough region and machine harvested mid-March of 2022. At the winery, the fruit underwent a primary Inoculation before sitting on lees for 9 months. A malolactic fermentation provides creamy flavours interlaced with the palate. The wine then aged for 9 months in seasoned French oak before being prepared for bottling.
Food Pairing: This wine can be enjoyed on it’s own or in the company of a creamy mushroom and spinach risotto.
