Description

Cherry, Oak, Spice

Black Market Mystery Wines™ are simply wines we love, with the branding hidden and revealed only when it arrives at your door!

"Gorgeously fruited and elegantly perfumed, showing sweet cherry, plum, floral, subtle spice and toasted almond characters. The palate is equally satisfying with excellent weight and plump mouthfeel, beautifully framed by layers of fine tannins, finishing persistent and complex. At its best: now to 2030" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Sep 2024

Deep dark ruby red. Red berry fruits, spice. Rich and ripe concentrated berry and dark cherry flavours, flowing through restrained hints of French oak. The finish is long, with soft tannins and undertones of spice.

Perched between the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean, our land is one of humbling extremes. Storm fronts sweep across the regions, whipping the landscape into unruly contours and carving terrain of awe-inspiring beauty. Our distinctive range of wines is skilfully crafted to embody the wild grace intrinsic to this land.

After 15 days on skins, our Pinot Noir grapes have produced this stunning, dark ruby-red wine. Following 5 days of cold soaking under close attention from our winemakers, we fermented in 100% French barrels at a peak of 32 degrees to extract maximum colour and enhance tannin profile in the palate.

Food Pairing: Perfect with dark chocolate or rack of lamb.
