A juicy & generous wine
A juicy & generous wine
Description
Dry, Gooseberry, Raspberry
"Delicious, bright, very fruity, fresh and lively bouquet filled with scents of fresh strawberry, red cherry and turkish delight. These become flavours on the palate framed by a tautness from acidity and super fine chalky tannins. A dry finish with a complete readiness to drink. Best from 2024 through 2027" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Oct 2024

Pale blush pink. Vibrant tropical and fresh gooseberry notes are complemented by a hint of delicate red berry. A juicy and generous palate that bursts with fruit flavours, crisp acidity and a long, mineral finish. Drinking deliciously now, and will continue to reward for at least 2 years.
Fruit for this wine was sourced from selected vineyards across the expanse of the Marlborough winegrowing region, including our company Woolshed Vineyard in the upper Wairau Valley, along with long established growers in the Awatere and Wairau Valleys.
Our Marlborough vineyards are situated on moderately fertile glacial soils. This includes a mix of sandy loam over very deep gravels, fertile loams and clays.
Food Pairing: Brie baked with honey and walnuts served with prosciutto and crostini.
