Mt Difficulty Roaring Meg Central Otago Pinot Noir Rosé 2025
Perfect for sunny sipping!
Perfect for sunny sipping!
Description
Dry, Melon, Strawberry
Light and fragrant, with notes of rose, watermelon, and fresh strawberries. Juicy and vibrant on the palate, showing ruby grapefruit and red berries with a touch of sweetness on the long, refreshing finish. Perfect for sunny sipping. Roaring Meg Pinot Noir Rosé is at its best within two years of release.

The grapes for this wine come from our Cromwell Basin vineyards managed by our dedicated viticultural team.
2025 continued a run of warm, fruitful seasons in Central Otago. There was a severe November frost across the district which decreased tonnage in some places, however for unaffected vineyards we saw yields on, or just under our targets. The peak of the growing season through the new year period was warm and sunny, with above average night temperatures which helped to reduce acidity quickly at ripening. This meant we could generally harvest earlier as long as flavour was present. It was also a fairly dry season, even by our standards, which kept disease pressure to an absolute minimum. The wines are showing a lovely weight and concentration of fruit, and fine, silky tannins even as young wines.
Picked at the end of March, a mixture of hand and machine picking, the grapes were pressed quickly off skins to minimize colour and phenolic extraction. A range of aromatic yeasts were used to highlight the varietal vibrancy of early picked Pinot Noir. Blended and bottled straight after vintage to catch that freshness.
