Flavoursome & highly enjoyable
Wine Orbit
Description
Dry, Lime, Passionfruit
"It's fabulously aromatic on the nose, showing notes of kiwifruit, kaffir lime, garden herbs, and lemon zest. The palate is equally appealing, with excellent vibrancy, fleshy texture, and bright acidity, making it flavoursome and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2027" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit. Sep 2025
This wine has the classic Marlborough aromas of ripe passionfruit, freshly mown grass and chopped summer herbs. These characters echo in the taste of the wine, with the addition of fresh lime zest and lemongrass and more tropical fruit flavours. The palate is dry and zesty with lovely concentration.
2025 was marked by good flowering and a dry, warm summer so each parcel of grapes was harvested when it reached ideal ripeness and flavour. We have several vineyards across the Marlborough region, including the Awatere Valley, and the grapes for this wine were drawn from the best of these blocks.
Each vineyard block was picked individually in the cool of the early morning. The grapes were gently pressed and the juice from each fermented in separate tanks, using specially selected yeast to highlight the wine’s fruity character. After fermentation, we selected the best tanks for blending to create this wine.
Food Pairing: Perfect as a refreshing glass of wine on its own, or enjoy with seafood, shellfish, salads, vegetarian dishes,
