A generous, concentrated Pinot Noir
Description
Oak, Strawberry, Wood
"Mount Fishtail Pinot Noir Nelson 2022 A crisp pinot noir, showing dried strawberry, cedar, mushroom and flint aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied with light, chewy tannins. Drink now. Screw cap" James Suckling
"It's elegantly fragrant on the nose, showing sweet cherry, dried herb, game, and warm mushroom aromas. The palate delivers smooth texture and supple mouthfeel, backed by delicate tannins, finishing soothing and savoury. At its best: now to 2026" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2025
A rich, ripe Pinot Noir, exuding aromas and flavours of dark cherry, berry fruit and savoury characters. A generous, concentrated palate exhibits well-integrated fine tannins and delivers a wonderful persistence of flavour.
The grapes were harvested, placed in small, opentop fermenters, and hand-plunged daily. After fermentation, the wine sat on its skins for an extra 21 days, then pressed into old French barriques for eight months before bottling.
Food Pairing: This wine pairs well with a variety of dishes, from cheeses to grilled venison. Our favorite pairing is a roasted rack of Kiwi lamb with fresh rosemary and duck fat potatoes - absolutely sublime!
