Description
Dry, Oak, Peach
"This regional blend Pinto Gris was partially fermented in neutral French barrel (18%) and the rest in stainless steel, resulting in a poised, silky mouthfeel, flaunting crisp fruit adorned by spice and a lengthy, dry finish" Candice Chow, Wine Chat

"Complex, fruity, varietal and very enticing bouquet. Aromas and flavours of wild white flowers, citrus pith and mandarin flower. Dry on the palate and as the wine opens out in glass the flavours of apple and green pear along with a white peppercorn quality begin to emerge. Fruity, crisp and dry on the finish, a lovely example best enjoyed alongside food while it matures, then from 2028 on its own for two years" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Dec 2025
Dry, medium-bodied and luscious, with pronounced notes of fresh yellow apple and pear, white peach, melon and honeysuckle.
Established in 1864 by Jean Désiré Féraud, Monte Christo is the birthplace of Central Otago wine. Our wines are made with 100% estate-grown fruit sourced from our vineyards across three distinct sub-regions, the Alexandra Basin, Bannockburn and Pisa. Utilising sustainable farming practices and minimal intervention methods in the winery, the outcome is elegant, refined, and impeccably balanced wines epitomising the terroir of Central Otago.
2024 started as a cool, slow growing season with below average rainfall. The season progressed to become warmer and more settled with no autumn frosts. Wines show optimal ripeness, medium body and bright acidity.
