This wine is a brigt ruby red in colour with hints of violet. It has an intense and complex perfume boasting rich ripe cherry, blackberries, black currants and cloves. A lush and juicy wine. Perfectly balanced with supple tannins. Elegant, long and well-structured.
Sourced from vineyards located in Canzano, Teramo. 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo were harvested by hand before being quickly taken to the winery in small carts in order not to compromise the quality and reduce oxidisation to the minimum. Careful vine management during the year together with optimum location of the vineyards guarantees the best possible quality of fruit. Fermentation took place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at 28c for appx. 10 to 15 days, the process is checked daily by the oenologist in the laboratory. At the end of the fermentation the wine rests for at least 5 months prior to bottling.
Food pairing: Ideally suited to be served with roast meats and game.
