"It's fabulously aromatic on the nose, showing feijoa, kiwifruit, honeydew melon and kaffir lime characters, followed by a concentrated palate delivering awesome fruit purity and power. Wonderfully expressed with loads of delicious flavours. At its best: now to 2027" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Oct 2023
Misty Cove’s Landmark Sauvignon Blanc is deeply influenced by old world winemaking techniques. Lovingly handcrafted in small batch quantities, we crafted this wine to reflect the “Landmark” – the attributes and characteristics of the Fareham Lane vineyard from which it originated.
Silex is a French term and type of sedimentary soil that is rich with flint and gives a “gunflint” character to the wine – a smokey note that the French call “pierre à fusil” and achieved with the Landmark Sauvignon Blanc by crop limitation in the vineyard, terroir, and winemaking techniques.
Lees ageing (6 months) prior to bottling has further developed mid- palate weight adding weighed complexity, minerality and slightly herbal notes.
