Description
Apricot, Dry, Floral
"It's elegantly lifted on the nose, showing apricot, lemongrass, olive, and jasmine nuances, leading to a wonderfully structured palate offering succulent fruit intensity with saline texture and juicy acidity. Beautifully poised and persistent with a refined finish. At its best: now to 2028" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"Aromas and flavours of ripe citrus fruits and apple then a light herbaceous quality. The acidity is as it should for this variety - intense, crisp and framing the core flavours of citrus and pomaceous fruits. Youthful and taut with plenty of development time ahead. Well made with best drinking from 2026 through 2030+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
Richly floral and inviting, our Landmark Grüner Veltliner captivates with aromas of ripe stone fruit, lemon and white flowers. The palate is beautifully weighted and rounded, offering a delightful interplay of creamy texture and vibrant acidity—notes of juicy peach and crisp citrus meld seamlessly with subtle undertones of white pepper. The wine’s juicy acidity adds a refreshing lift, finishing with Marlborough’s signature, crisp minerality.
Our Landmark Series is a nod to classic winemaking traditions-sprinkled with Misty’s distinctive edge. Handcrafted in small batches from our Fareham Lane vineyard, this Grüner Veltliner captures the very essence of the land it hails from.
The fruit was hand-harvested in the cool of the morning to preserve its delicate flavours and natural acidity. Whole bunch pressed, the juice was fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks and 20% acacia barriques to enhance floral characters and provide palate weight and texture.
Food Pairing: Traditional Austrian dishes like Wiener Schnitzel and Bratwurst sausages, find a perfect partner in this wine, with its vibrant acidity cutting through the richness. An asparagus risotto or a fresh garden salad with citrus vinaigrette pair wonderfully, as do lightly spiced Asian dishes like Thai green curry. Roasted pork loin with herbs and a charcuterie platter highlight the wine’s fruitiness and balance, making it an incredibly versatile pairing option.
