Description
Oak, Peach, Vanilla
"Gorgeously composed and styled, the wine shows yellow peach, rockmelon, vanilla and hazelnut characters on the nose with a hint of oatmeal complexity. The palate delivers excellent weight and fleshy texture, beautifully framed by bright acidity, finishing long and satisfying. At its best: now to 2030" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2024
"An enticing bouquet with scents of baking spices and nut, some gentle smoky wood tones , lees then ripe stone fruits and apple. Nicely weighted with a creamy texture, medium+ acidity and flavours of stone fruits and citrus. The spice layers reflect the bouquet as does the gentle smoky wood quality. Balanced, well made and ready to drink from 2024 through 2028" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
Landmark Chardonnay benefited from a cooler ripening period, producing a wine with expressive aromatics and fresh, lively acidity. On the nose, it reveals notes of apricot, lemon peel, and oatmeal. The palate is refined and rounded, showcasing flavours of ripe pear and hints of roasted almonds, all wrapped up in bright acidity that dances to a persistent, focused finish. This beautifully layered wine is perfect for any occasion and is best enjoyed with great company and even better times.
Our Landmark Series is a nod to classic winemaking traditions -sprinkled with Misty’s distinctive edge. Handcrafted in small batches from our Fareham Lane vineyard, this Chardonnay captures the very essence of the land it hails from.
Crafted from a blend of clones 95 and Mendoza, the fruit was carefully harvested in the cool of the morning to preserve its delicate flavours and natural acidity. After harvest, the grapes were gently pressed, and the juice was then fermented and aged for eight months in a mix of 25% new and 75% older French oak barriques. By carefully managing malolactic fermentation, we have created an elegantly textured Chardonnay with beautiful balance and a long, pure finish.
Food Pairing: With its round palate and lively acidity, this wine is a versatile partner for various dishes. Its bright notes complement buttery crayfish (lobster) tails, seared scallops, and flaky pan-fried halibut. It will also pair wonderfully with creamy pasta dishes such as fettuccine Alfredo or a rich clam and bacon risotto.
