- Passionfruit & lime
- Sea salt & jalapeno
- Lingering finish
"The coastal district of Kekerengu boasts limestone-laced soils which have given this wine a saline, oyster-shell character together with lime, gooseberry and passionfruit flavours. A vibrant, edgy wine—a perfect match with freshly-shucked oysters garnished with a squeeze of lime" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Oct 2021
"It’s beautifully aromatic on the nose showing Granny Smith apple, jalapeno, rockmelon and kaffir lime notes, leading to a brilliantly punchy palate that’s juicy and lingering. Filled with delicious flavours and super long on the finish" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Sep 2021
"A potent, intensely perfumed nose with aromas of grapefruit, lemongrass, Thai basil, and lemon sherbet. A big-boned, textural, strapping wine with plenty of flesh power and weight in the mouth, salivating, chalky acidity and a long, lingering aftertaste. Very engaging" The Wine Rater, Dec 2021
The lingering palate is savoury and bone dry with hints of sea salt, zesty lime, capsicum, fresh herb and delicate passionfruit flavours.
Their southernmost vineyard sits proud above the rugged Kekerengu coastline and overlooks the vast Pacific Ocean from which it is deeply influenced. A challenging environment that is a narrow stretch between sea and mountain “Kekerengu” expresses a unique and intense interpretation of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
Hand-picked and lovingly handcrafted, they crafted this wine to reflect its extreme maritime climate and characteristics of which it originated. Made in a small batch, Kekerengu Sauvignon Blanc will be sure to impress.
