Description
Dry, Lime, Melon
"Fabulously fruited and instantly appealing, the wine exhibits aromas of feijoa, kiwifruit, crunchy apple, and lime peel. The palate delivers terrific fruit intensity backed by fine texture and vibrant acidity, finishing mouth-watering and lingering. At its best: now to 2028" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"A lovely example of freshness and fruit flavours of pineapple and lemon, apple and some tropical fruits. A layer of fine lees enhanced by the acid line adds some complexity and texture. Salivating with a varietal gooseberry and citrus finish. Best drinking from 2025 through 2027+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
"Zesty, juicy and tropical, with aromas of limes, grapefruit and papayas. Medium-bodied and supple with fresh acidity. Sustainable. Drink now" James Suckling, Jamessuckling.com
Fresh and vibrant, our Sauvignon Blanc greets the senses with lively notes of citrus zest and freshly cut grass intertwined with delicate hints of tropical fruit. The palate dances with crisp acidity and flavours of passionfruit, guava, and a touch of lemongrass, culminating in a clean, refreshing finish that lingers with every sip.
Misty Cove’s Estate Sauvignon Blanc embodies the distinctive sub-regional characteristics of Marlborough. Meticulously crafted from grapes grown in our vineyards nestled within the Wairau and Waihopai Valleys, this wine captures the essence of Marlborough’s unparalleled terroir.
The fruit was carefully harvested in the cool of the morning to preserve its delicate flavours and natural acidity. After harvest, the grapes were gently pressed, and the juice was transferred into stainless steel tanks for cool fermentation, retaining the fruit’s vibrant aromas and fresh character. The wine was then fined and filtered to ensure clarity and stability before being bottled.
Food Pairing: This wine pairs beautifully with fresh seafood like grilled shrimp or oysters, highlighting its citrus and mineral notes. It also complements tangy goat cheese salads, asparagus risotto, and lighter dishes such as summer salads, lemon-roasted chicken, and spicy Thai cuisine. It enhances these flavours with its versatile character, making it a perfect companion for good times.
