Beautifully expressive & vibrant

Description

  • Dry style
  • Lemon & lime
  • Floral notes
  • Refreshing acidity

Expressive and vibrant in fruit flavour. Floral notes and quince character with generous lemon and lime are well balanced with refreshing acidity. The palate is crisp and luxurious with a long length. 5 - 10 years. While very drinkable now, this wine will develop more complexity and intensity in years to come.

Fruit was harvested from the Ohiti Road vineyard which has consistently produced award winning wines since 1992. Varietal character and fruit intensity is always excellent. The vineyard uses vertical shoot positioning totrain the vines, allowing good light exposure to maximise fruit development and character.

The fruit was destemmed and lightly pressed before cold settling and fermentation. Only free run juice was used for the wine. The ferment was allowed to go wild over an extended period of one month helping to retain thedelicate aromatics of this variety. Once the wine hadreached a perfect balance of residual sugar and acidity the fermentation was stopped.
