Sourced from a mature vineyard in Hawke’s Bay, this is a rich, barrel fermented Chardonnay with the accent on complexity and fruit weight. Grilled stonefruit, hazelnut and citrus aromas combine with hints of toasty cedar, leading to a silky and long finish. Already enjoyable, this wine will continue to improve over the next 3 to 7 years. Single Vineyard.

"There’s often nothing more satisfying than the bouquet of a well made wine that ticks the boxes of variety and expresses a style reflect place and time as well as attention to detail - I find these attributes clear and intense in this wine. Aromas and flavours of spiced dark cherry and plum, wild red flowers, nut, dried herb and wild strawberry. Tannins are firm and in abundance, acidity adds tautness and power, there’s a core of fruit and oak impression offering anise and brown baking spices and some new wood bite. There is a very full and concentrated bouquet of ripe passionfruit, exotic florals, lime marmalade, honey, and ripe stonefruit. On the palate, layers of juicy peaches and tropical fruit intertwine with luxurious honey, delicate floral notes, and a hint of zesty citrus. The result is a rich, elegant wine with a brilliant light golden hue and a lingering, opulent finish.
