With the colour of fresh straw just cut, this Massey Dacta Riesling 2018 shows scented lime zest and mandarin pith, and bright floral citrus notes. The palate is balanced with lovely juicy lime marmalade lusciousness and subline citrus providing harmony and a lingering palate length. There is plenty of flavour and a finish that is both rewarding and refreshing. Super stuff!!

The 2018 Marlborough Summer was one that provided some farming challenges and the tractor was in and out of the shed often to maximise the best harvest dates of the vintage. The family owned Dillon’s Pinot Riesling Vineyard has given this wine a fantastic range of aromas and focused flavours.

This single block was handpicked and fermented as one in tank to maintain the pure vibrancy of this exquisite variety. The fermentation was long and slow to develop texture and spikey palate intrigue and through constant tasting stopped when the balance of this Riesling was just so. A medium style but with plenty of Dry - Perfect on the patio!
