Mars Iwai Tradition Japanese Whisky (750ml)

Description

A rich gold whisky with complex, sweet honey and malt fragrances. Mars Iwai Tradition Japanese Whisky is soft and rounded, yet full bodied and mellow. The nose gives sweet honey, leading to a complex, peaty full bodied palate which gives sweet peat, orange marmalade, maple, burnt sugar cane, cedar and cigar.

Mars chose its high altitude location in the mountains for its desirable humidity and high quality water. Their bottles are embossed with the ridgeline of the Japan Alps. The top line, above the label shows the Central Alps which is where the Mars distillery is located. This blend consists mostly of malt, with some grain. The whisky is then aged in bourbon, sherry, and wine barrels.
