Delightfully drinkable
Wine Orbit
Description
Dry, Floral, Pear
"Attractively fruited and nicely fragrant, the wine shows ripe pear, fig and rockmelon notes, leading to a juicy palate that's smooth and rounded. Offering youthful fruit flavours, making it delightfully drinkable. At its best: now to 2025" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Apr 2024

This 2023 Marlborough Pinot Gris is fresh and bright with spiced French pear and delicate florals on the nose. The palate is a burst of crisp and juicy flavours mixed with a creamy, textured mid palate. Flavours of succulent pear and honeysuckle lean into a crisp acidity that lingers on the finish.
Grown in the Marlborough region, the grapes for this elegant Pinot Gris were machine harvested towards the end of the growing season, when the fruit had reached desired ripeness and flavour characteristics sought by our winemaking team. At the winery, the fruit was pressed off it skins immediately to ensure no colour or tannin carried through into the wine. From there the juice underwent a fermentation using carefully selected commercial yeast strains.
Food Pairing: The bright characteristics of this Pinot Gris, balance beautifully with a lightly spiced Chinese pork dish.
