It is soft, velvety and in excellent balance, showing blue fruits, black cherries and plum underscored with chocolate and vanilla. You can taste the sun baked soils as an earthen hint comes through, too. Crowd-pleasing and decadent.
Malana Primitivo di Manduria is a powerful red wine from the Primitivo di Manduria region of Italy, produced by Malana. Made from 100% Primitivo grapes, this wine reflects the region's unique terroir, where the soil consists primarily of clay and limestone.
The warm Mediterranean climate, with long, hot summers and mild winters, promotes full ripeness of the grapes, contributing to the concentration of sugars and aromas. The wine is carefully crafted through manual harvesting, followed by selection and fermentation at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months in oak barrels, which creates complex flavours.
Food Pairing: Pair with red meat, risotto, and pastas.
