Description
Cherry, Cream, Strawberry
"From South Australian fruit, made with minimal intervention, this is a gleaming crimson colour with attractive and lifted aromatics. We have notes of spices, violets, cherries, crushed herbs and red fruits. Fresh, with good length and a drying finish, this is an early drinking style, but it is certainly delicious now and will remain so for the next couple of years. Terrific value" Ken Garget, Wine Pilot
"Sweetly ripe and fragrant, the bouquet shows dark cherry, rich floral, thyme, and nutmeg aromas, followed by a succulent palate offering good weight and silky flow. Elegantly framed by fine-grained tannins, making it smooth and supple. At its best: now to 2028" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Lifted aromas of strawberry and cherry are layered with subtle earthy undertones. The palate is defined by soft tannins and a refreshing acidity, delivering a textured finish that cuts beautifully through rich, creamy dishes.
The southern hairy-nosed wombat is stout and robust, perfectly adapted to the harsh environment in which it lives. Likewise, the thick, gnarled vineyards of South Australia produce small bunches of intensely flavoured grapes from the ancient soils and dry climate.
South Australian regions, 2023 vintage was shaped by a cooler-than-average start, with wet conditions across October and November giving way to a dry December. Early-season rain prompted preventative measures to manage the risk of botrytis, but the region emerged with healthy fruit.
The cool climate of the South Australia creates lifted and expressive Pinot Noir with a rich depth of fruit flavours. A ‘hands off’ small batch winemaking approach with minimal intervention allows the fruit to shine with lifted and expressive aromatics, rich fruit and soft acidity. An appealing wine that showcases the vibrant and expansive character of South Australian Pinot Noir.
