"Classic boquuet of fresh peaches and vanilla cream, fresh brazil nut and toast. Full-bodied creamy style on the palate with flavours that reflect the bouquet. Fine wood tannins and medium acid line, flavours of apple and stone fruits, spice and tart cream. Best drinking from 2023 through 2027" Cameron Douglas Master Sommelier, Feb 2023

Vibrant aromas of vanilla bean, pineapple, citrus peel, and custard cream. A rich, ripe palate with flavours of yellow apple, honeysuckle and rockmelon with integrated oak and a lingering finish.

This wine is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in two of our Hawke’s Bay vineyards - Riverview and Kinross.

The grapes for this wine were partially hand harvested and transported to our Riverview winery. A portion of the fruit was pressed direct to barrel where it was allowed to undergo wild fermentation. Following fermentation, the wine was inoculated for Malolactic fermentation. After approximately 12 months in oak, the wine was transferred to our Katikati winery for finishing and bottling in April 2022.

Established in 1978, The Wine Portfolio combines the finest grapes with the best winemaking techniques, as well as passion from our dedicated winemakers. We have taken the boutique winery approach to winemaking by controlling the entire process-from grafting our own cuttings, developing our own vineyards and viticultural techniques and investing in the best technology possible.

Food Pairing: Superb with chicken and creamy risotto, or smoked salmon.
