Description

Dry, Floral, Spice

"Ripe and fruity, varietal with a peach and yellow apple bouquet, some citrus, flowers and white spice. Delicious on the palate with a satin texture, persistent fruity, peachy flavours, a backbone of acidity with a fine lees quality. Best drinking from 2025 through 2027" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Sep 2024

Scale_-_Dry

Gorgeous little citrus flowers link arms with melon and peach to dance in the sunshine, always maintaining an air of class. Meanwhile, lime lingers in the shadows vying for attention.

This aromatic white grape hailing from Spain performs exceptionally well in Gisborne, a beautiful coastal region on the east coast of New Zealand’s North Island. Reasonably new to New Zealand, Albariño is a crisp and refreshing white wine quickly winning fans everywhere.

2024 was an excellent growing season in Gisborne with warm dry conditions and naturally moderate yields in the vineyards, combining to produce delicious, flavour-packed Albariño grapes.

The grapes were picked and gently pressed to stainless steel tanks, then the clear juice was racked and fermented with yeast to highlight the unique aromatics and texture of Albariño. The wine was aged on yeast lees for several months to add complexity and richness to the palate.

Food Pairing: Light enough to enjoy on its own, the refreshing citrus and hint of salinity in Albariño make it a perfect match with your favourite seafood.
