This aromatic white grape hailing from Spain performs exceedingly well in Gisborne, a beautiful coastal region on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island.
A warm dry summer resulted in perfect ripeness and the earliest harvest ever for their Albariño.
Picked and gently pressed to stainless steel tanks, 90% of the clear juice was racked and fermented with yeast to highlight the aromatics and texture. The remaining juice was run to seasoned French Oak Puncheons to add complexity and richness.
Food Pairing: Imbibe on its own or devour along with a Thai chicken salad.
