Description
- Dry style
- Green pear
- Gentle spice
- Juicy acidity
"It's attractively fruited and elegantly fragrant, showing rockmelon, green pear and orange peel aromas with a hint of spicy overtone. The palate is equally appealing with succulent fruit flavours combined with supple texture and juicy acidity, making it immediately approachable and delightfully drinkable" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Feb 2024
"A generous, fruity expression with a sense of place and style. Aromas and flavours of green pear and spice, golden apple and quince, there’s a leesy seam that suggests a whisper of ginger and wild honey. Lovely weight with a satin texture, medium acid line and perfect level of alcohol. A dry-ish finish with a lemon, floral, and lees quality. Best drinking from 2024 through 2027. May I suggest you let this wine sit in glass for a minute or two before tasting or drinking, it needs to open out by mixing with some oxygen.. Also, best served at around 12 Celsius" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Apr 2024
A wonderful bouquet of summer stone fruits blends seamlessly with sweet pear and gentle spice notes, with a juicy, rounded palate, and a refreshing, satisfying finish.
Settled on the world’s eastern edge in New Zealand, our vines are the first in the world to see the light of each new day. This abundant sunlight is reflected in every sip, as the fruit ripens earlier with a rich, tropical fruit spectrum and wonderful aromatics. Lake Road. First vines to see the light.
