"A lovely bouquet of ripeness and variety, aromas and flavours of roasted Doris plums and clove, some smoked spice and wood tones, some mineral clay and stone layers add complexity and breadth. Youthful textures and flavours touch the palate first with plenty of acidity accentuating the tannins; tannins are moderate in intensity with core fruit flavours of plums and boysenberry, moments of smoke and wood spice add complexity and length. Merlot sourced from Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. Family owned and operated. A select blend of vineyards sourced from the internationally recognised Hawke’s Bay growing region. Once harvest we transported the grapes overnight to our Marlborough winery to carry out the fermentation process while at peak freshness.
