Satisfying with excellent weight & fruit intensity
Description
Dry, Floral, Kiwifruit
Passionfruit, grapefruit and fresh-cut herbs, with a lift of white blossom. The palate is generous and precise at once — ripe citrus and stonefruit carried on a fine line of acidity, finishing long, dry and vibrant.
The Kōtātā, a nationally endangered wetland bird, is more often heard than seen, its haunting call echoing through the reeds as its habitat disappears. We’ve chosen the Kōtātā as our symbol of quiet strength and resilience. In partnership with Forest & Bird, we’re donating 1% of all sales to help protect this extraordinary species. A small way to give back to the land that shapes our wine and help the Kōtātā’s song carry on for generations.
A dry, warm spring ran the season early, with clean flowering and open, even bunches. February brought a cooler change and the pace slowed right down — a long, unhurried ripening under settled autumn days with almost no disease pressure. Fruit came in with concentration and natural acidity fully intact. Gently de-stemmed, lightly pressed, and cool-fermented in stainless steel, the wine holds pure fruit expression with the aromatic lift Marlborough is known for, and the added weight and texture that mark 2026 as a standout.
