Lifted red-fruited aromas of cherry, blood plum and spice from Shiraz are masterfully entwined with earthen black currant and subtle herb from the cabernet. A classic wine style balancing softness and structure on the palate that is the perfect glass of Australian red wine for any occasion and any cuisine.

Kindred Spirits was established by friends with a shared interest in creating richly flavoured and varietally expressive wines whilst having a little fun along the way!

A cool, wet spring helped with soil moisture followed by a warm November ensuring no damaging weather conditions. Cool and calm weather followed that meant even ripening and good acid retention. A mild end to summer and a cool Autumn saw fruit hanging with no disease or extreme heat posing a problem. Yields and quality were up across the board.

Shiraz and Cabernet picked in the cool of the evening were vinified and matured separately in large stainless steel before blending and further maturation in partial older large format oak barrels and the reminder in stainless steel. The wine was then blended and finished prior to bottling with minimal additions.
