Description
Apple, Dry, Floral
"It's finely scented on the nose, showing crunchy apple, green pear, fig, and white floral aromas with a hint of spicy overtone. The palate displays excellent weight and focus, splendidly supported by saline texture and bright acidity, finishing persistent and linear. At its best: now to 2029" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Apr 2025

"Fragrant, lifted, floral and varietal with a core of apple and pineapple, white blossoms and a stony mineral seam. Dry, texture, concentrated and delicious, a wine of texture and varietal flavours, a fine seam of dried herb and white veg-quality. On second and third taste the flavours expand into a persistent, textured and sophisticated wine. Delicious, new, well made and quite lengthy. Best drinking from 2025 through 2030+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Jun 2025
Ripe russet apples, pears and macadamia notes combine on the nose with just a hint of fennel and dill and a touch of white pepper. The palate boasts delicious flavours of apples, pears, macadamia, sesame and fennel. There is also a hint of Grüner’s signature white pepper flavour. This is a fine, concentrated wine with a lovely textural element from the wild fermented portion alongside crisp saline acidity and a long refreshing finish.
Food Pairing: Grüner loves stong flavours and spice so try it with something like sticky pork belly bao buns with hoisin sauce and cucumber and spring onions.
