Description

Imagination gin is the passionate adventure of good mates Simon Wilson and Chris Charteris.

The secret to their flavour profile comes from the distinctive yeast they use in fermentation, charcoal filtered rainwater, the delicate balance of botanicals in distillation and of course, very active imaginations!

The name imagination represents the ingenuity and anything-is-possible attitude that epitomises the New Zealand spirit that binds us together as one people. They hope you’ll enjoy the fruits of their imaginations.

Made with standard dry gin botanicals - juniper, coriander, cinnamon, licorice root, orris root, orange, lemon and lime - makers add a tiny amount of manuka hydrosols to create an earthy heart to the gin. Whole citrus fruit is used in the column of the still which creates the initial aroma and a touch more than usual licorice and orris which leaves a sweet spice finish.

Once again they’ve sourced plump and juicy new season strawberries from Lewis Farms, a Horowhenua property farmed by the Lewis family since 1934. A punnet of strawberries per litre are macerated in a citrus-forward gin crafted just for the occasion. It’s summer in a bottle with a strawberry/citrus aroma, warm spice and a bright and sweet fruit finish.

Inspired by the New Zealand summer. The raspberries are macerated in a floral dry gin. The juice of the rhubarb is slowly extracted and blended with the gin until bottling strength. The floral aroma of orris root is prominent on the nose with Juniper and coriander maintaining the delicate piny heart. No added sugar and only real fruit... a uniquely honest pink gin.
