Elegant, pristine & charming
Wine Orbit
Description
- Off-dry style
- Stone fruit
- Green apple
- Mouth-watering
"Elegant, pristine and charming, it's delicately lifted on the nose showing Gala apple, lime sorbet, white flesh nectarine and jasmine nuances, leading to a concentrated palate displaying excellent focus and persistency. Gorgeously complemented by subtle sweetness and firm acidity, making it brilliantly balanced and lingering" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Dec 2021
"Bright, even, pale yellow, youthful. The soft is gently full with a depth of aromas; honey nuance melded with white floral, underlying stonefruit, melon, lemon and a hint of mandarine zest. Medium-bodied, dry-ish to taste, concentrated aromas of stonefruit, honeydew melon, entwined with lemon and pith, honey and an amalgam of white blossom. The flavours are harmonious and well-proportioned, elegantly concentrated. Very fine-textured phenolics coated the palate in silk; a zesty acid line balanced and drew a lengthy finish. This is a smooth, harmonious flavoured Riesling with charm and a fine-textured mouthfeel, perfectly in balance. Match with clams in miso butter and lemon & herb sausages over the next 8 years" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, Nov 2021
"From selected blocks in the Lowburn subregion. Crisp, tangy riesling in an off-dry style, with flavours that suggest lime, green apple, oyster-shell, white flowers and apricot blossom. Deliciously tangy acidity balances a hint of sweetness to give the wine mouth-watering tension" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Nov 2021
"The 2021 vintage (4.5*) is a single-vineyard wine, grown in the Cromwell Basin and fermented and lees-aged for four months in stainless steel tanks. Bright, light lemon/green, it is a very fresh and lively, light to medium-bodied style, with strong, lemony, appley, slightly peachy flavours, gentle sweetness (7 grams/litre of residual sugar), crisp acidity and a finely poised, lingering finish. Already very enjoyable, it should be at its best 2024+"
