Description
"Bright, light straw-yellow colour with slight green hues on the rim. The nose is firmly bound with mouthwatering aromas of limes and white florals entwined with subtle flinty notes and steely minerals, unfolding apple and delicate toasty elements in the glass. Medium-dry to taste, the palate features harmoniously melded flavours of limes, white florals, honeysuckle and toast. The mouthfeel is soft, with a rounded core and line, and the wine flows smoothly. Integrated acidity lends a gentle energy, adding to the mellow textures. The wine carries easily to a sustained finish of limes, toast and honey. This is a soft-textured, smooth-flowing off-dry Riesling with lime, honeysuckle and delicate toasty flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with Chinese cuisine" Raymond Chan Mar, 2018
Sun-bleached straw colour in the glass. Spicy maraschino cherry, lime and pink grapefruit aromatics are plentiful. This Riesling is off-dry, and a true expression of the grape variety. A crushed rock mineral driven palate, showing a generous citrus flavor profile with a strong persistent finish
Vines have been grown in the Gibbston Valley, Central Otago since 1976. It was one of the areas in the region that Italian based viticulturist Romeo Braggato first predicted, in 1895, to be of great potential for the production of Pinot Noir. After experimentation in many different microclimates in the region with different grape varieties, it was found the alluvial soils of the Gibbston Valley together with the Pinot Noir grape produced some of New Zealand's finest Pinot Noir.
