Inky purple pushing to a narrow ruby crimson edge. Aromas of intense blackcurrants and choc mint with hints of fresh cut cedar. A vibrant and intense wine, showcasing a concentrated palate of ripe dark fruits with a sweet juicy mid palate, framed by fine, soft tannins.

2020 was a challenging vintage with a hot, dry growing season, resulting in lower than average crops. These dry, warm conditions coupled with the cool night-time temperatures allowed the vines to produce fruit with exceptional character and flavour while being harvested at lower degrees of sugar ripeness, generally producing vibrant, balanced, lower alcohol styles.

At Grant Burge wines, we challenged ourselves to come up with the most vibrant and impactful wines possible. The result was Ink.
