Description
- American & French oak
- Raspberry & blackberry
- Vanilla & coffee bean
- Smooth tannins
"Packed with lush, dark berry flavours, with classic Barossa spice, subtle oak and smooth tannins" Gavin Hubble, The Wine Guy 2019
Deep dark purple in colour in the glass. Aromas of raspberry and blackberry, complemented by spice, subtle vanilla and coffee bean. Full bodied wine where the red fruits in the mid palate are balanced with integrated fine long tannins and hints of sweetness and spice from the oak. The soft integrated tannin structure gives the wine a real elegance and mid palate structure. The multi-layered depth of flavours and long lingering finish make this an impressive wine.
Sourced from a variety of premium vineyards, predominantly in the Barossa Valley, that consistently deliver exceptional flavour and interest.
The fruit was crushed and de-stemmed prior to being fermented in stainless steel tanks. After it underwent malolactic fermentation, the wine was matured in a combination of American and French oak for a period of 14 months.
