Cherry, Oak, Plum

Deep ruby red in colour, this wine has lifted aromas of vibrant red berry fruit and rich cassis all supported by hints of vanilla and spice. The palate is full and ripe with a rich blackberry and plum fruit core. A generous, soft mid palate with subtle savoury spice and delicate integrated tannins all enhance the softness and purity of the fruit. The multi-layered depth of flavours and long lingering finish give this wine an impressive length and structure.

The fruit was crushed and de-stemmed prior to being fermented in stainless steel tanks for 7 days on skins with three pump overs a day to exact colour and tannin. Malolactic fermentation occurred in tank before 16 months oak maturation in American and European puncheons (500 litres).
