Well-balanced with a silky, succulent finish
Wine Orbit
Description
Nectarine, Oak, Spice
"Elegant and finely expressed on the nose with ripe peach, rockmelon, nougat, and citrus peel notes, followed by a juicy palate that's rounded and smooth. Well-balanced with a silky, succulent finish. At its best: now to 2028" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2026
Generous and smooth, this is Chardonnay made for real life. Ripe citrus, peach and melon lead the way, with a subtle floral lift and a hint of vanilla. The palate follows through with stone fruit and a touch of butterscotch, finishing long and quietly elegant.
Giesen Estate is New Zealand wine made for sharing. Fruit-forward, well-balanced and smooth through the finish, with varietal character front and centre. Classic styles. Great in the glass.
Sourced from Hawke’s Bay on the North Island’s east coast, a premium maritime region known for ripe, expressive Chardonnay. The 2024/25 season was warm and dry, ideal for building flavour and natural richness. A brief spell of late season rain had minimal impact, with fine weather returning ahead of harvest. The result is fruit with brightness, depth and fresh varietal clarity.
Matured for six months on French oak, bringing subtle texture and complexity while letting the vibrant fruit stay front and centre. Expect bright citrus and stone fruit, a gentle creaminess, and a long, elegant finish with balanced acidity.
Food Pairing: Seared pork loin and seasonal roast vegetables.
