This wine has the full spectrum of classic Sauvignon Blanc, with lifted aromas of ripe lime, gooseberry and blackcurrant with tropical layers of passionfruit and gently scented white florals. Although this is a dry wine, the palate is full with weight from ripe fruit sweetness, and also has a refreshing acidity and a delicate minerality that leads you to want to pour another glass.

A low sugar wine of exceptional quality, but also lower sugar for those that wish, or need, to reduce sugar intakes.

The grapes for this wine were sourced from several blocks from a single estate located in Marlborough’s Lower Wairau Valley, owned by the Holdaway Family.  The region is warm and an early ripening site for Marlborough, lending itself to the creation of this dry style of wine.

Creating a wine with low sugar content such as this meant we needed to focus on getting the moment of harvest exactly right, so that we preserve the ripe flavours, while still maintaining an attractive acid balance to complement the dry style. We harvested and fermented each block separately and pressed immediately to retain the fresh fruit flavours.
