Layered & harmonious with a structured complexity
Layered & harmonious with a structured complexity
Description
This wine is a bright and pure Pinot Noir, filled with good fruit weight and sweet spicy undertones. This wine is layered and harmonious with a structural complexity yet it offers a lovely drink and approachability.Opening with alluring bright, dark, red fruits, the nose is under laced with slatey minerals, Earl Grey spice and a subtle dusting of oak. The palate is generous with lovely fruit weight and tasty, balanced acidity. There’s a velvet structure to this wine which is aided by its ripe, layered tannins. This 2017 is very approachable and rewarding young yet complex enough to sit and wait out a handful of years in the cellar.
Representing four vineyard sites and encompassing three sub-regions in Marlborough (Brancott, Waihopai & Wairau Valley) this Pinot Noir clearly expresses a FROMM winery style.
Bottled in 2018, this wine has cellaring potential until 2023.
Food Pairing: We recommend drinking this delicious drop with chicken or duck breasts, with a starch salad or a lovely warm lamb stew with root vegetables on a cold winters night.
