Description
This wine displays a vibrant nose opening with hints of crisp green apples, lime and lemongrass before leading into fierce chalky/flinty, even oyster shell, minerality all combining with subtle bakers’ yeast savouriness. The palate confirms the pristine and concentrated citrus fruit which is interlaced with a lovely texture, tight structure and refreshing acidity. The palate is left cleansed and ready for the next sip.
This is the first Chenin Blanc endeavour by Fromm and they're certainly happy with the result. Hand-picked, then crushed and pressed into 228L and 600L Burgundy oak barrels for wild yeast fermentation until bone dry. Matured in barrel on fine lees for 12 months. Not fined, vegan friendly
Food Pairing: This wine pairs perfectly and effortlessly with fresh white fish or shellfish, brilliant for a late lunch to wow loved ones.
