A plush Pinot Noir with a lingering finish

Description

Cherry, Oak, Spice

Bright and juicy Pinot Noir with aromas of black plum, cherries and mixed spice. Complemented by rich tannins and oak aging giving a smooth mouth feel. It's a medium-bodied wine with a fine lingering finish. A wine to enjoy with a meal in the company of friends.

Harvested from grapes brown in the heart of Waipara Valley from six of our premium vineyard sites. A hot dry 2024 mid summer period allowed the grapes to ripen with no disease issues.

Vineyard management included trimming and leaf plucking giving the grapes bunches good exposure to the sun, contributing to the ripeness and lack of disease.

Harvest started in late March with warm dry conditions, allowing for the grapes to undergo an extended fermentation on skins up to 21 days. Five months of French oak maturation followed prior to bottling.

Food Pairing: Hearty full flavoured dishes such as Moroccan lamb tagine or braised beef short ribs.
